the cycle of regeneration
feel . rest . heal
a meaningful framework for living with a strong and open heart
we have to feel it to heal it
We fully engage in our daily lives with a strong and open heart, trusting that we have the resources to respond effectively to whatever arises. When “life” happens, we stay with that we feel, approach our experiences with curiosity, and employ restorative skills that build resilience. Again and again in a virtuous cycle…

fully engage in your life
feel
We learn how to identify the feelings and beliefs that come up in our daily life and STAY with them as we observe how our nervous system responds.
Grounded in our felt experience, we can skillfully make behavior choices from our resilience and strengths, moment by moment.
prioritize real-time recovery
rest
We prioritize building our resilience reserves as part of our regular routines with intentional breathing, iRest meditation, and nourishing yoga poses that regulate our nervous system.
When we face a challenge (or feel wiped out as we pursue an opportunity), we intentionally employ our resilience practices and remember that we will actually get farther faster when we value recovery as much as engagement.

integrate what you learn
heal
Healing is a spiral staircase; we may face the same situation over and over…but each time, we are a bit farther and a bit wiser. We compassionately consider the effectiveness of our choices; the practices we employed, the outcome, and the impact to our overall wellbeing.
How do we heal? We do our best, recover, get curious, learn, and try again.

let’s practice together
We humans have lost the wisdom of genuinely resting and relaxing. We worry too much. We don’t allow our bodies to heal, and we don’t allow our minds and hearts to heal.
