hi there

the semi-formal bio
a few things about me…

I am a restorative practice guide, therapeutic yogi, and mental health advocate trying my best to live with courage and vulnerability – if you want my credentials, you can find them below. I prefer popcorn to lobster, buy more books than I have time to read, cry often, love to laugh, and cheer out loud when people win on The Price is Right! I fought and survived a terminal childhood prognosis (twice), was raised by a loving single mother living with un-treated bipolar disorder and have the deep perspective and sideways sense of humor often shared by people who have walked through fire. Both of which have come in handy while building an adult life that has alternately lifted me and flattened me; a life that I LOVE and share with my college sweetheart and our two children who teach us about love, gratitude, resilience, and forgiveness every day.
All of this adds up to being a human who has faced a LOT of “reality” in my 50+ years and has come around to the understanding that living with deep contentment requires clear eyes, an appreciation for the necessary ambiguity/complexity of living a real life, and self-trust above all else. A human who loves to create community…so here we are on this “About” page together.

You know when you see something and it encapsulates everything you feel but can’t quite express concisely?
This says it all for me…When we “see the world as it is and know you have the grit & grace to choose a path of love”, we fully engage with our hearts open to life, trusting that we have the resources to respond effectively to whatever arises. We take the joys and the hits in stride, do our best, recover, get curious, learn, and try again.
Because this is the bravest, kindest, most resilient way to live and lead.
XO tiff
