thinking out loud

It is the beginning of a new year and, like everyone else, I’m thinking about what I want to accomplish in 2019. One of my intentions last year was to keep up a regular blog and newsletter schedule. Yeah…if you subscribe, you know that didn’t happen.
Plainly, I got stuck because I convinced myself that every piece needed to be SO fully formed, so well crafted, and so packed with meaning that it could bring you the impact and relief that you may need IN THE VERY MOMENT that you read it. Turns out, that’s not really a thing…so, I only wrote a few and didn’t publish any of them.
In that stuck place, I lost my focus on my original intention. What I really want to be doing in my writing isn’t only sharing what I have already learned, it’s sharing what I am actively learning so we can learn it together. I want to “walk” alongside you saying, “You’ve got this. And, I’m right here if you need me.” That is exactly what I need from the people who support me and it’s what I love most about being a coach. In my studio, it’s never my intent to solve problems for you. My intent is to create brave space so you can understand yourself and what you bring to your life in a new way. I want my writing to reflect the way I coach. Now it will.
I have made my most important life choices with very ordinary wisdom; the incremental, normal, real, authentic truths of living with resilience in my everyday life. I’m learning each day as I fall down, get back up, and stay engaged in the challenge and THAT is what I want to write about in hopes of creating community for all of you in doing the same. I would love for you to read along.
